Dual Antenna setup verse Single antenna setup.

Postby jrminnich on Wed Nov 04, 2009 7:38 pm

Hi,
Using the TV Antenna GeoSelector, I was given two options for antenna's a Dual Antenna Setup and an Single antenna setup. Below are the two setup and the listing of channels I could recieve for both. I have two questions, Is the dual antenna setup worth the expense over a single antenna. How do you setup an dual antenna setup as far as wiring/pre amps/rotars, ect...? I am planning on hooking up no more than 3 TV's. Any help would be appreciated...

Jim

Use a two-antenna system for your TV reception: KCPQ, channel 13, is off in another direction from the other Seattle stations, and you still have digital channel 9 and 11 in Seattle, so I would do the following: use a Winegard HD-7697 or HD7698P aimed at the main Seattle transmitters, and use a Winegard YA-1713 aimed at the KCPQ transmitter. Connect the two antennas using a Channel master JoinTenna( 0585-13) tuned for channel 13, and use a preamplifier like a Channel Master Titan 7777 AFTER the JoinTenna to boost up the signal enough to be able to run up to 4 TV sets.
