different channels found on 2 tv's

Postby Redeemer78 on Mon Sep 20, 2010 6:47 pm

Hi everyone,

I live in Stanford, Kentucky and just installed my RCA 3036x antenna on top of my house approximately 2 feet above my ridge. I have it connected to some basic coax cable (don't know what kind it is) approximately 30 feet to a Terk splitter and then one coax running 4 feet to my recreational room tv and then about 30 feet to my living room tv. I'm getting 9 channels on my living room tv (56" Panasonic plasma 2008) and 12 channels on my rec room tv (42" Samsung plasma 2010). Like I said the only thing I can guess at is the cable length from the Terk splitter to each tv. But I tried googling my problem and I can't find another example or fix to my situation. I would greatly appreciate any info or link that someone would provide. Thank you.

I am new to the antenna thing but it sounds to me like you need to overcome the 30' run of cable to your living room using an amplifier.
