Coastal Maine Indoor Antenna??

Postby kwkittery on Thu Jun 10, 2010 2:32 pm

Hi there! Thanks for being here...I'm hoping you can help me decide what to do.

I've just moved into an elderly housing community. They do not allow outdoor antennas unless they can be located entirely within our personal patio area. Dish TV would be allowed, but again, the dish would have to be within the patio. There 'are' a couple of dishes here, but they have a clear line of sight in the right direction. My patio faces the opposite direction and lots of trees. We 'are' on the top of a hill, compared to the rest of the neighborhood and are about a half mile of the ocean.

I really really really don't want to cable up here...its FAR out of my budget. I'd be more than happy to spend enough to get a good antenna, however.

Can you help me with finding a decent indoor antenna (and Yessssss, I 'know' its very difficult to predict.. ) or maybe a small outdoor unit. Also, maybe a clue on what stations I could expect....

Thanks so much...keeping up with all this new technology is hectic for someone who grew up with a tv that you actually had to get off the couch and walk over to the tv to change the station!! And I so miss the Blue Angels and patriotic music before signing off for the night....>sigh< :(

Hope to hear from you soon!! Karen in Maine

Where in ME ARE you? I need your zip code, at the very least, to give oyu any idea of what will work. However, be aware that indoor antennas are usually very ineffective in concrete and brick buildings...
