Bad Digital Reception after Superior Analog Reception

Postby mischa geist on Fri Mar 20, 2009 1:24 pm

Hi
I live in El Monte California, just southeast of Mount Wilson, the high altitude transmission source for most of the Los Angeles basin. I have always had superior television reception with just rabbit ears on my televisions. I have been switching to digital and I've bought some antennas, both amplified and non-amplified. No matter what I do, the signals are so directional that I have to adjust the antenna when I go to certain channels. According to most sites, I should get great reception from a small antenna. I'm very frustrated at this point and I think they aren't telling us the downside to the conversion.
Thanks

OK, now what is your question? Do you want antenna advice? Get yourself a small VHF-UHF outdoor antenna aimed at Mt. Wilson. The Winegard HD-7694P is a fine choice.
