Audio Lip Sync Issues

Postby William on Fri May 16, 2008 12:21 am

I wasn't real sure where to post this question. I have DirecTV, and lately I've been experiencing the audio out of whack with the picture. I feel like I'm watching some old dubbed Kung-Fu movie.

Any ideas as to what the problems is or how to solve it?

I have DirecTV also, and on occasion I've noticed the same thing. The cause could be one of 2 things, of which 1 of them is not fixable or does it have anything to do with you.

The main problem with the lip sync issues has to do with the software in the DirecTV box they gave you. I'm not sure why it doesn't happen all the time, but it is quite annoying when it does happen.

The second thing it could be is your reciever, if you have one. Although this isn't exactly the cause of the lip sync issues it does amplify the problem. The best you can do if this is the cause would be to adjust the delay (if that is an option on your reciever) or plug your box straight into the TV. Most likely, if the lip sync is real bad, adjusting the audio delay on your reciever won't help enough to fix the problem.
