antenns comparison, rabbits to omni.

Amplified rabbit ears blew away my new Winegard omnidirectional MS-2000 in a back to back test which included both being situated on the railing of my second story deck. Is the ms-2000 that bad or just out of it's element being 37 miles from the towers. It did get more but not good enough uhf channels but that is worthless and it give up a couple of important digitals the rabbit ears get well. I have no signal strength meter so I cannot comment on that.

Is there any circumstance where a good fringe antenna setup could fail me as the ms-2000 did. I knew it was a risky purchase but I have a back up use for it on our boat and not much else is suitable. What do any of you think.

I think that you wasted a lot of money, beyonfd that, i know nothing else of your situation, so I can't advise you without more information.
