antenna selection advice?

Postby snake on Fri Oct 02, 2009 9:57 am

location is 2437 congress rd belpre,oh 45714. Looking to install whatever is needed to pick up as many channels as possable. However the main ones I'm most interested in are ch.41 WCHS 196 deg. and ch.49 WTAP 16 deg. Desired tower location is beside an all metal building with the antenna aprox. 10'-15' above roof line. Coax run would be approx. 300'-500' from tower to tv sets with at least half of it buried in conduit. I would like to hook up three plasma tv's all digital. The terrain is very high up with alot of wind (no obstructions). However there is a fm radio tower and cell phone tower 200' - 600' behind or too the north of the proposed antenna location, probably a good 150' taller than my antenna. Also there is a tower to the south approx half a mile away. You probably get the drift that I am up pretty high with all these towers all around me. I would rather spend extra and have a good setup than try to economize by. Any recommendations will be greatly appreciated

I really need your specfic coordinates to make any good suggestions: your zip code is inadequate to know what TV markets are really available to you. If ou hve a tower, or can estimate the height of your antenna installation, that will be most helpful.

CBS and NBC are very close, and should be no problem, but you will have to get your ABC and FOX from West Virginia, 66 miles away. This is going to get a little bit complicated. Is this a commercial application, and, if so, what is most important to you?

no this is not a commercial , it is residential - but I have resources available that it should be no problem with any type installation. Most important to me it the channel 41 wchs. It is a must get.
