Antenna Rec in Northwest Atlanta

Postby blabbate on Thu Sep 15, 2011 2:33 pm

Hey everyone! We're just northwest of downtown Atlanta and looking for recommendations. From other posts here, it looks like we'll need an outdoor antenna, probably roof mounted, but I'm not sure if we'll need directional or not. Also not sure which antenna would be sufficient to get most channels.

We're on Bernard Rd NW in Atlanta, GA 30318. Most channels appear to be clustered to our ESE and in Red/Blue. What would you recommend?

Oh, quick edit. I'm going to be running just one TV, and it has an HD tuner. Here's my tvfool link:

Thanks,
Bruce

You didn't mention how many TV set's you'll be running from this one antenna, but one or two TV sets can be run using a Winegard HD-7694P, mounted on your roof, aimed at 100 degrees compass heading. You can use a simple 2-way coaxial splitter for two TV sets: if you plan to run more than that, I suggest that you consider an amplifier splitter like a like a Channel Master CM3414 for up to 4 TV sets. Please follow the links below for equipment info and a good installation manual.

Good Luck!

It should just be one set for now. We might run it to a second at some point, but not for a while. Now I just have to figure out how to install it without killing myself. :) Thanks!
