Antenna help at zip code 99324

I recently moved to southeastern Washington State. I live on the upper floor of a two-story 4-plex apartment building and have written permission from the landlord to attach a television antenna to the outside of the building. I would be the only tenant using the antenna feed. My television is about 5 years old and is not HD -- my location is approx. 45 miles east of one set of "local" stations and approx. 150 miles southwest of a larger metropolitan area.

Any advice you might have as to the best outdoor antenna for my location would be greatly appreciated. I look forward to getting away from the local cable company if at all possible.
