I noticed that the splitter doesn't have a ground wire connection. The one I bought is a Radio Shack variety (expensive I know), but has a screw for a ground wire. I mention this since I have the CM7777 powered by the TV power bar/strip inside the house and have the DC pass-though splitter outside the house where the old cable TV feeds the rooms of the house (kind of a star network in a sense.) By the way, maverick44, I'm getting many more channels (75) than I anticipated from where we are about 68 miles from Mt. Wilson. Pretty cool..

Please forgive me in advance for posting to such an old thread, but this is the first discussion I've found online that affirms that we can get DTV off of Wilson from Lancaster.

I was just wondering if those of you who have had success wouldn't mind giving an approximate location of where you are in the valley because I know it varies a lot with the mountains. I'm in 93535 off of 30th east, north of the plant. From my roof it looks like I should have a fairly clear line of sight to the mountains and I can't imagine any tall buildings ever being built between me and the AF plant. Would you imagine that we'd have similar results here on the east side of Lancaster?

Thanks.

According to TV Fool, you should be able to pick up the majors (CBS, NBC, ABC, KCAL, Fox, CW and KCOP). You have more 2Edge for signal path so PBS might be harder to pick up (KOCE-50 -- everything moved from KCET to KOCE like NewsHour, etc.) Might be good to ask neighbors what they are receiving. My AntennasDirect XG-91 and CM7777 have been rock solid..and I don't have a huge setup on the the roof (eave-mount.) Good luck.
