Antenna for San Francisco Bay Area (East Bay)

Postby BARNDT on Wed Sep 16, 2009 10:16 am

Hello,

I have just about had it with the prices and quality of Comcast and want to get set up with the best antenna system for my area!

City: Livermore
Zip: 94550
State: California
# of TV's: two main TVs but have another two in the garage so... 4 total
two TVs are new with a digital converter and the other two are older and would need a converter.

Home is a two story with a relatively open 'view' from the second story and the roof.

I have installed a data panel in the garage to manage my data network as well as the TV Coax. I would run the Coax from the antenna to the data panel then break it out to the individual TVs.

Im ready to make this happen soon and your help in choosing the best antenna, pre-amp and if needed a rotator system.

Thanks!

You have 2 VHF channels that you need, so consider a VHF high-band plus UHF antenna ike a Winegard HD-7696P run down to your Data Panel, then use a small distribution amp like a Winegard HDa-100 before splitting to your TV sets.

So, Barndt... what did you end up with? What antenna/amps did you use and how is your reception?

I really want to get Universal Sports (11.3 KNTV from San Bruno?)
