Antenna for 08836

Postby jerseykid on Tue Jul 06, 2010 10:10 am

At my old house in this same zip the previous owner had an interior antenna w/rotor that would pick up both NY & Phila stations. I currently have DirectTV but have a guest bedroom and gazebo that I would like to just receive off-air channels. A few of the electronic shops in my area say that they don't carry antennas anymore as Fox and some other popular local channels were not coming in. I'm not concerned about price so please suggest the best models, also have access to attic so if there is good interior one w/amp I'm ok with that as well.

When I run a TVFool.com scan on your on your zip code, it tells me that you have an obstructed view of the Empire State Building in your area, but it's hard to say exactly how bad it is without your exact TVFool.com report: If you would kindly go here: http://www.tvfool.com/index.php?option= ... &Itemid=29 , put in your information, and post the results, we can better determine what you'll need. I believe that you'll most likely need a fringe-area VHF-high-band plus UHF antenna to see NYC, but whether or not Philly is available to you remains to be seen.
