Lately we have been dealing with an increasing number of attempts to manipulate product rankings. Note: each person is allowed to post one and only one review for each product. Exceptions can be made only under special circumstances when the reviewer feels that his earlier review must be corrected.
We have a sophisticated manipulation detection system in place and we will not tolerate any attempt to game the system and mislead consumers and our visitors. We reserve the right to delete any review that we feel is misleading or inappropriate and do that at our sole discretion. Thanks for understanding.
Also, from now on we require all reviews to be at least 100 words long. Short reviews, such as "a piece of junk" or "works as advertised" are not very helpful. Consider specifying more details. Elaborate on your location, the equipment you are using, reception quality of specific channels in your area. Check the word counter at the bottom when writing.

| Summary: Box is good but has some problems | ||
| The DTT901 is a good box but needs improvement. Phone help is in India so english is not the primary language very hard to understand. Remote control lettering is dark needs to have brighter lettering. The main problem is that Zenith fails to tell you the other digital devices can block signal. My Wife has the Laptop in the living room when we first installed the box the signal was great we had 7 HD channels. The signal seemed to work some days and not on others for two channels then one morning I turned the box on and was watching one of the channels and the signal was clear as a bell my Wife came in and turned on the laptop and the signal was gone. So I put two and two together and the signal problem was fixed. Up to now I thought we would have to invest hundreds of dollars in antenna upgrades to get local channels. We live so far out in the country we can not even get cable. So if you get this one just be aware of the signal problems | ||

| Summary: Don\t buy this if you want to watch football. | ||
| Our box has closed captioned interference from other dtv converter boxes in the neighborhood. Most of the time this does not bother me, but right now I can\t watch the home football game. All of the other channels work fine. Just the station that I want to watch is not working right. This has happened at other times with other stations. When we are having this problem, we can switch channels and go back to the original channel, and everything is fine for three seconds, and then half of the screen is blocked. | ||

| Summary: VERY GOOD BOX | ||
| After reading reviews I purchased one. As one of the 'positive reviewers' stated you just hook it up, scan and go to the menu and personalize the settings. The only disappointment is the program guide - it only shows current and next program. To the 'negative reviewer', READ THE MANUAL! The OFF TIMER is default ON. The aspect ratio setting is CHANNEL specific, not generic. The one reviewer is correct in that the ratio SHOULD have been set to 4:3, but if the channel is broadcasting this ratio just set it to CROPPED and it will fill the entire screen. Overall, a very nice box. | ||

| Summary: Zenith DTT901 | ||
| In September of 2008 I puchased a new Zenith DTT901 to use in my own home due to its high praises on the Web. The unit wasn\t removed from the box and placed into service until the switch-over in June 2009. The unit worked although signal reception was below par and even paled in comparison with Zinwell and RCA converters I\ve tested. Within four months the unit began malfunctioning and died shortly thereafter. As other people have experienced, the unit would power up then shut down within a few seconds. Since it had very little usage I decided to call Zenith Service rather than tear into it and diagnose the problem. I spoke to a representative who informed me that Zenith would not stand behind their product despite the fact it was barely used and quoted their pathetic excuse for a warranty, 90days from purchase... period. I would have expected more from the folks at LGE which now own Zenith. Obviously they have adopted the old axiom that the customer is a resource to be fleeced and apparently have a poor Q&A program. Based on my experience with the DTT901 and Zenith\s poor customer service, I will not buy nor recommend their products in the future. | ||
