When compared to other LCD HDTVs, the Samsung LN26A330 is really the cream of the crop. You can spend out the extra money for the 450 set. When you consider the only difference is that the 450 has an extra HDMI rather than the PC hookup that this set has, the additional cost is really a waste of money.

The 5000:1 gives this set an excellent picture quality. I find the 8 ms response time makes gaming systems and movies work great. The 720p resolution gives crisp details with clear and accurate colors. In all, I found this set worked well with HD channels although analog stations were a bit fuzzy. At the same time, all HDTVs have difficulty getting good picture out of analog stations.

When it comes to hooking the Samsung LN26A330 to computers and other equipment, there really was no work at all to get great quality. The picture settings really didn’t require a whole lot of adjustment from their default settings. I guess the Wide Color Enhancer plays a big part in that as well.

The speakers in the Samsung LN26A330 work great for watching television. If you plan on cranking up the tunes, however, you might want to hook it up to a home theatre system or stereo. When you start getting into the higher end of the volume level, the sound distorts.

As for the TV’s exterior, I really liked the fact that this set is auto wall mount compatible and is so easy to set up, it is virtually a plug and play model. The finish and overall design is ok, but it definitely doesn’t make a major fashion statement. If there is anything at all to complain about, it would be the slower response time when you turn it on. Other than that, this is one of the best, economical TV’s sets you’ll find.
