The Best Budget 32″ LCD HDTV

Hi everybody!

This is a first in a weekly series I’ll be running every Friday that will cover a HD product or gadget. Since many people are thinking about investing in a new TV with the digital conversion coming next year I figured I would start with a very good starter HDTV that won’t break the bank.
The Best 32″ budget LCD HDTV is the Westinghouse SK-32H240S. This HDTV can be found at almost any major electronics retailer including Wal-Mart with a price range anywhere between $500-$799.

This TV is a 720p HDTV with 2 HDMI, 2 component, 2 composite, 2 S-Video, and for XBox 360 owners it has 1 VGA input. The speaker is mounted on the bottom of the TV so that you can fit it into a smaller space than other HDTV’s which have the speaker mounted on the sides. Also, the speaker put out excellent sound. Unlike some of their earlier models, this LCD TV has a built in digital tuner.

The picture quality is very good on this model, however the blacks are noticeably lighter than the higher end LCD HDTV’s. However, despite the low cost of this HDTV, you will not be disappointed with the build quality or picture quality.

Let me know what you think the best Budget 32″ LCD HDTV is. Be sure to come back tomorrow for more HD talk.
