Pinnacle Launches New HD Sticks
April 20, 2008 – 11:11 am,Pinnacle Systems, Inc has announced its next generation Pinnacle PCTV ™ HD Stick and its PCTV ™ HD Pro Stick will be receiving some attractive upgrades. With these TV tuners, you can receive free digital HD and SD over the air. The new versions also support unencrypted digital cable channels. Since the new technology utilizes a next generation tuner, it is more sensitive to reception of digital and analog signals. With the PCTV HD Pro Stick, you can also pick up FM radio.
The new version of the Pinnacle PCTV HD Stick is only about the size of a flash drive, but it able to provide resolutions of up to 1080i after being plugged into a USB port. With the ClearQAM support, you can also receive over-the-air broadcasts if you are a cable subscriber. This makes it a good option to consider if you did not purchase a PC TV tuner with your computer system.
The new Pinnacle PCTV HD costs less than $100 and also serves as a Personal Video Recorder. With its PVR abilities, it makes it possible to TimeShift and to record HD and SD TV.
