Toshiba has officially announced that it will be launching its Regza CV series of LCD HDTVs. This new series, which will be replacing its C series, is being marketed toward those consumers that want to upgrade to HDTV from their CRT televisions or from an older analog LCD television.

You should already be able to find the new Toshiba CV series televisions. There are three different screen sizes available with this news series: 32 inch, 37 inch, and 42 inch. Regardless of the screen size, all of the televisions are HD ready and offer a 1366 x 768 resolution. Each size also offers a 30,000:1 contrast ratio.

The new series of television also incorporates the company’s Active Vision LCD Picture Processing technology. This technology is designed to further enhance the picture color and movement while also improving the contrast level and the amount of detail.

Toshiba’s new series is also including both digital and analog tuners as well as several opportunities for connectivity, such as three HDMI inputs. The new series is also slimmer and features a black gloss finish. In addition, the televisions include a Game Mode. With this feature, you can have a dedicated channel between the screen and console. As a result, you will experience an improved response time when playing video games.

This new series certainly isn’t a top-of-the-line offering. Nonetheless, it is a good choice if you are looking for a smaller, simpler television such as one that will be put in a spare room.
