What Do You Think When You Think About the Television Image?

Flat panel HDTVs are currently found in about 25% of households in the United States. Although that accounts for only one quarter of all households, most people are no longer overly impressed when they see these televisions. After all, just about everyone knows someone with a flat panel HDTV and, as such, as experienced these televisions first hand. For this reason, television manufacturers are now looking for other ways to impress their target audience and to get them excited again.

In order to bring the “wow” factor back to televisions, television manufacturers are looking for new ways to set their televisions apart from the competition. Since the screen images are getting to be pretty much the same from one television to the other, that means looking at things such as the design of the television and other perks, such as how easy the television is to use and whether or not it includes integrated audio.

The look and feel of televisions is becoming increasingly important – and I am not talking about the look of the screen. Today’s consumers are looking for a unique style that makes a statement about them and works well with the room in which the television is placed. This means we are starting to see televisions that are available in more than just the basic black color.

LG Electronics is one company that is trying to stand out from the crowd. Its 32 inch LG40, for example, features a curved pedestal as well as a red front-drop bezel. The LG60 has a red back and allows for color to peek through the front and the side.

With televisions coming in more fashionable deigns, homeowners can purchase televisions that tie into the colors they already have in their space. As a result, they can enjoy a more put-together look in their décor and make their television an important part of their decoration rather than something that needs to be worked around. So, it looks like you have more to think about then just the screen when you think about the television’s image - you also need to think about the personal image your television helps you display.
