The Winegard PR-8800 is a 26 element, 8-bay UHF over-the-air high definition digital broadcast signal outdoor TV antenna designed for picking up free HD broadcasts from local transmission sources. Its relatively compact design ensures an esthetically pleasing installation on the roof-top or other pole mount.
With outstanding UHF reception from precise director system, the PR-8800 comes with a corner reflector system for enhanced reception of HD signals. Weaker UHF signals are captured and reflected with minimal loss to stronger signals and driven elements. This results in a more uniform gain on UHF frequencies on channels 14-69. The total result is an outstanding HD/digital reception at maximum power.
A built-in 300ohm VHF coupling block allows you to install a separate VHF antenna in a different direction (if desired) for better VHF reception without compromising the directional needs of the HD UHF signals.
With a turning radius of 23-inches, the 4-bay bow-tie PR-8800 is designed for long distance transmissions where the installation may be several miles from the transmission source. Additionally, it is also an ideal candidate for areas where the transmission signals may be weak and need amplifying for optimum quality. At a height of only 34 inches and a width of 45 inches the Winegard PR-8800 has an optimum reception range of between 40-50 miles.
